Daily reading

It is essential that children continue to read every day at home. To support this, I will upload a text for each book band every week. I have also included lots of free websites and resources for reading on the links page and at the bottom of this page.

Introducing... #MissGoodwinreads

Every Tuesday and Thursday, I will upload a video reading aloud one of our lovely class stories to make you feel like you're back in the classroom. Starting with Lost and Found by Oliver Jeffers. Enjoy!

"Reading gives us a place to go when we have to stay where we are."

Other useful links:

  • Audible is now FREE! It has hundreds of book titles that you can stream on a phone, tablet or laptop using this link (including some of our 100 books to read by the end of Y4). My recommendation this week is the classic 'The Wonderful Wizard of Oz'. Did you know, when I was at school I played Dorothy in our production?
