~ May 2022 ~

Today sees the end of a very busy half term, including end of Key Stage SATs. We hope you all enjoy the half term break and your children return on 6th June refreshed and ready to shine! Enjoy your extended Bank Holiday!

On 16th June we will be having a Hot Dog day - details below.

A reminder that children are welcome to bring a healthy snack in from home to eat during morning break. Or they can purchase something from our tuck shop, such as toast, fruit, a health drink. Please do not send children with chocolate and crisps.

Items from the tuck shop are 30p each. A child can have up to 2 item per morning break.

We will continue to ask that all monies for tuck are sent in on a Monday morning in a sealed envelope with your child’s name on. The envelope should have either £1.50 or £3 in. Please ensure correct amount is place in the envelope.

A polite reminder that all children should be in correct uniform and PE kit at all times.

Our uniform consists of:

white shirt or white/burgundy polo shirt

burgundy cardigan/sweatshirt or fleece

black or grey skirt, trousers or pinafore

red gingham summer dress

Black shoes should be worn by all our children. No trainers allowed (unless it is a PE day).

We expect all children to wear black shorts or grey/black joggers and a white/burgundy t-shirt on days they have PE. Football shirts or other sports wear is not allowed.

If hair is long enough to be tied up it should be on PE days please.

When earrings are worn in school, they must be small, round studs. No other jewellery is permitted.

Please remember that school will be closed to children on Friday 24th June as we will be taking our Queen's Jubilee bank holiday on that day.

We would encourage all parents who think they may qualify for benefits based Free School Meals to apply via the following link

https://www.nottinghamshire.gov.uk/education/school-meals/free-school-meals-and-milk

It is a simple process, all you will need to provide is your National Insurance number. Even if your children are in Reception to Year 2 and currently receive Universal Infant Free School Meals, please apply if you qualify as this means that as a school we may receive more funding. This can be used to help you with purchases of uniform, school trips and even school milk if your child would like it. And of course, your child will receive a healthy and delicious meal every day courtesy of our school chef!

A reminder again of our school office hours - 8.00am to 3.30pm. If you ring outside of these times, please leave a message and we will get back to you.
